Aaron Wan-Bissaka has shared his delight at returning to action for Manchester United in their win over Leeds.
The full-back returned to the United line-up at Elland Road as he made his first appearance since being forced off against Wolves in the first game of 2022.
Since then, injury and illness have kept him out of the side, along with Diogo Dalot impressing as the Portugual international has deputised at right-back.
Wan-Bissaka got the nod from Ralf Rangnick to make his return against Leeds and managed to celebrate a win as United gave themselves a major boost in their race for the top four with a 4-2 victory.
The defender took to Instagram after the game to upload a few pictures of himself in action at Elland Road, including one of him celebrating with goalscorer Anthony Elanga, and he took the chance to post a message after making his long-awaited return.
“What a feeling to be back on the pitch!” Wan-Bissaka posted.
“More importantly, 3 big points to take back to Manchester. Love to the fans who travelled in these crazy conditions. Atmosphere was different level! Let's pray the weather's better in Spain!”
Teammate Jadon Sancho was among those to show their support in the replies.
Wan-Bissaka will be hoping he’s done enough to hold onto his place in the side as United turn their attention to their Champions League game on Wednesday.
United will head to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their last-16 tie, with Diego Simeone’s side having also won this weekend ahead of the clash.
