Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks we’ve ever seen pick up a football, but the dude can be such a dork sometimes, man. It’s such a shame.
Usually, we get a full helping of all that dorkiness whenever he chooses to pop up on The Pat McAfee Show. Because, of course, right? I mean, who else would let him spew nonsense on a weekly basis?
Anyway, Rodgers made an appearance on McAfee’s show on Tuesday to talk a bit about his Jets almost winning against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. So close, guys! Maybe next time.
While talking about his team, though, Rodgers chose to take what seemed to be an extremely weird jab — pun absolutely intended here — at Travis Kelce.
He called Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” in the middle of his interview with McAfee. Yes, it was definitely as weird as it sounds.

“I think there’s some sentiment that there’s some sort of moral victory out there that we hung with the champs and our defense played well and Pat [Mahomes] didn’t have a crazy game and Mr. Pfizer, we kind of shut him down a little bit. He didn’t have a crazy impact game.”
Told you! It was definitely as weird as it sounds. What Rodgers is referring to is a commercial Kelce did for Pfizer promoting the COVID-19 and flu vaccines. It wasn’t anything wild — just a quick spot encouraging people to go get vaccinated and giving them information about it.
You can definitely see why Rodgers didn’t vibe with that. We all know how he feels about vaccines. We also know how he feels about information, too. Get on YouTube and do your own research, fam.
Anyway, this is funny for a couple of reasons. First, Rodgers and Kelce were literally just hanging out at the Jets-Chiefs game on Sunday.

Maybe the two are legitimately friends. Maybe this is an insult. We have no idea. Either way, it’s an extremely obtuse thing to say on national television. But, hey, man. It’s Rodgers. Extremely obtuse feels like the baseline for him.
Second, guess who owns the New York Jets? Woody Johnson. What else does Woody Johnson own, you ask? Johnson & Johnson. Yup. That’s right. The same Johnson & Johnson that created a COVID-19 vaccine. That’s who pays Aaron Rodgers’ salary.
So, in a roundabout way, I guess that makes Rodgers Mr. Johnson & Johnson. Wow. What a coincidence.
The irony here is so delicious. Fans had a field day with this one.
Who cuts A-Rod's checks?
Woody Johnson, who happens to be the heir to Johnson and Johnson fortune, who the US government agreed to pay more than $1 billion for the production of 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Might as well call A-Rod "Mr. Janssen" https://t.co/ZExMAItksu

Um…..Rodger's @nyjets paychecks come from Woody Johnson – a member of the founding family of Johnson & Johnson. #NFL https://t.co/4mqd0wGUQD

Mr Pfizer, Mr Swift, Mr 2x Super Bowl Champion. There's so many names he could choose. https://t.co/3lwcGLfsT1

The owner of the New York Jets is Woody Johnson. As in Johnson & Johnson. He signs Aaron’s checks. https://t.co/rxg82QeEUW

And the dude who signs his check is Mr. Johnson of Johnson & Johnson.
