Aaron Rodgers is already showing all the positive signs after his New York Jets move that will keep fans happy.
The legendary quarterback has shown up to the Jets' first training camp of the off-season, which he chose not to do with the Green Bay Packers over the last two seasons.
The veteran was said to be in good spirits as he trained with the full team at the New Jersey facility for the first time, linking up with his second-year star receiver Garrett Wilson and the rest of his new teammates.
The Jets coaching staff will be more than pleased to see Rodgers integrate himself with the new team - something veteran players often chose not to do as they enjoy their off-season. Rodgers declined to take part in the first OTAs (Organised Team Activities) with the Packers amid tensions the past two years but was only too happy to get straight down to work with his new franchise.
Rodgers has been reunited with his former offensive coordinator with the Packers, Nathaniel Hackett, who had been his playcaller for three seasons - two of which he won back-to-back MVP awards. The Jets will have an array of pass-catchers for Rodgers this year, with former Packers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb joining the team, two players who he already has a strong rapport with.
And along with Mecole Hardman, Corey Davis, CJ Uzomah and new rookie Zack Kuntz, a strong case can be made that Rodgers has the best group of receivers he's had in over a decade.
After acquiring Rodgers, the Jets will now be strong contenders in the AFC. However, they'll be competing in the toughest division in football, with the Buffalo Bills once again being among the favourites along with the Miami Dolphins improving, potentially having the best roster in the NFL.
Rodgers is expected to meet up with his receivers this off-season as they work together for the first time, but he'll be doing so in a familiar offense with Hackett running the same system as he had in Green Bay.
