Aaron Ramsey in life after Rangers stalemate as Juventus 'severance fee' hangs over contract talks

Juventus could face a tough task of offloading Aaron Ramsey this summer, according to a report in Italy.

The Welshman is heading back to Turin after a disappointing loan spell with Rangers came to an end.

Ramsey's appeared to be a blockbuster arrival at Ibrox when he was ushered in January on deadline day.

However, a series of injury woes plagued his spell in Scotland, with his final contribution to the club being the heartbreaking penalty shoot-out miss in the Europa League final.

Ramsey did leave Glasgow with a Scottish Cup winners medal, but that appears to have failed to convince Juventus to offer him a second chance.

The Serie A giants are looking to rip up the 31-year-old's contract as they look to rebuild following a trophyless campaign.

Corriere dello Sport state that talks are underway on ripping up the final year of his contract.

Juventus are looking to avoid paying out a €14 million to Ramsey during his final year at the club.

The player and his agent are reportedly looking for "severance pay" with "small steps" being taken towards a deal.

However, as it stands no agreement is in place with his contract running until June 30, 2023.
