Aaron Ramsey has already told Liverpool why they should sign 'dangerous' Khephren Thuram

Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has tipped Liverpool-linked Khephren Thuram for a big future in professional football following their time at OGC Nice.

The son of iconic French defender Lilian has been tipped for a move to Anfield after reports in France - and he fits the profile for Jurgen Klopp's midfield. James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are all out of contract, bidding farewell to fans in the closing stages of the season, with a rebuild underway.

Thuram became the latest name to be linked with a move to Merseyside this week along with fellow France youngster Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach. The 22-year-old made 35 appearances for Didier Digard's side in Ligue 1 last season scoring twice and assisting four times, largely deployed in the defensive midfield position.

Ramsey, who forged a career with the Gunners and helped catapult Wales to major tournaments, played with the youngest Thuram brother at the Allianz Riviera following his move from Juventus.

The 32-year-old admitted that he is another player who can go "all the way to the top", when he told GFFN in February: "Khéphren is another talented player here.

"I think he’s definitely got a big future ahead of him if he carries on the way he’s going at the minute. He’s very dangerous, very powerful, a very strong dribbler of the ball.

"Hopefully, he can keep progressing. He’s another player that can go all the way to the top I feel. I enjoy playing alongside him in the middle of the park; I think we have a good balance in there. Now it’s just about adding a few more goals to our games."

Liverpool remain firmly fixated on bringing in reinforcements to the club. The ECHO understands that Alexis Mac Allister has been earmarked as one of the chief targets with reports across various other outlets suggesting he is on course to be the first arrival of the summer.
