Aaron Ramsey forced to make dramatic decision at airport after three transfer offers

Juventus' plot to offload Aaron Ramsey on deadline day have been boosted with three teams in the mix to sign him.

Ramsey has been deemed surplus to requirements in Turin, failing to start a single Serie A game all season.

And according to The Athletic, the 31-year-old is currently at a private airport making a final decision between an unnamed Premier League team, Rangers and a big club on the continent.

Injuries have also restricted the Welshman’s opportunity, with his last appearance coming all the way back in October.

Ramsey appeared to take aim at Juventus boss Massimilano Allegri in October, claiming that reports over his chequered injury history had been overstated.

“I know what I can do and with the right management I can stay fit for a long period of time and play a lot of games,” Ramsey said.

“I’m still feeling good, when given the opportunity and managed correctly. It has been frustrating that I have picked up these little niggly injuries which have cost me a lot of games and meant I have missed some important games for Wales in the last couple of years.”

But with 18 months remaining on the contract he signed in 2019, the Old Lady are looking to offload him, initially on loan for the rest of the season.

The former Arsenal midfielder has reportedly been offered to a number of Premier League clubs, although he has rejected a number of moves already.

According to Mail Sport; Burnley, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace have all registered their interest, with the midfielder turning down at least three opportunities.

Wolves have become the latest Premier League team to be touted as a potential landing spot for Ramsey amid claims manager Bruno Lage could make a late play for a midfielder.

The need for midfield reinforcements is obvious at Molineux with little depth behind first-choice pairing Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.

The Portuguese duo have been integral in Wolves’ excellent season which sees them on the cusp of the top six going into a pivotal month of fixtures.

Bruno Jordao became the latest Wolves youngster to join Grasshoppers, linking up with the Swiss outfit for the rest of the season.

That leaves just Leander Dendoncker and academy graduate Luke Cundle as possible replacements, unless Wolves make a signing on deadline day.

Reports in Italy claim that super agent Jorge Mendes, who has close links with Wolves owners Fosun, is trying to engineer a move before Monday night’s deadline at 11pm.

Along with interest from the English Premier League, Tuttosport claim that Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers could be in the mix to sign him.

They suggest that negotiations are underway and that such is the Italian’s desperation to move him on, they are willing to pay a portion of his wages.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has already managed to land Amad from Manchester United as they look to retain the crown they prised from Celtic last term.

Rangers have an extra hour to complete transfers compared to their rivals south of the border, with the Scottish window not closing until midnight.
