Aaron Judge set for yet another spell on sidelines as New York Yankees star makes injury claim

New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge confirmed the severity of his injury, revealing that he had suffered a torn ligament in his right big toe.

This disclosure opposed the initial diagnosis provided by the team, which originally labeled the injury as a ligament sprain. Likewise, Judge admitted that he continues to experience discomfort and pain while walking, shedding light on the significant challenges in his recovery.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone refrained from making any definitive guarantees regarding the outfielder's comeback, as MLB. com's Bryan Hoch reported. Boone's caution likely stems from the unpredictable nature of MLB injuries- especially regarding Judge's injury history.

The home run-hitting outfielder has been sidelined since June 3, when he collided with the outfield wall during a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team has felt his absence, noticeable in their struggles on the field.

Since Judge's injury, the Yankees have recorded a 6-10 record, a concerning statistic that includes a painful stretch where they lost five out of six games to their arch-rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Judge's absence has an immense impact on the team.

While his value was never questioned, the contrast between the Yankees' performances with and without Judge underscores his integral role in their success. With his towering presence missing from the lineup, the question is how long Judge will be sidelined.

As the Yankees try to weather the storm without their star slugger, they will rely on a combination of hitters, including Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Billy McKinney, and Giancarlo Stanton, to fill the void in the corner outfield spots, with Stanton assuming the designated hitter role more frequently.

With Aaron Judge's absence, they have transformed from a team with playoff aspirations into a squad that struggles to string hits together, epitomizing their current state of disarray. Their offensive struggles without Judge have seen the team rank 23rd in home runs, 30th in runs scored, and 30th in OPS among all Major League Baseball teams.

Fans of the Yankees and those affiliated with the team have sought solace in the hope of Judge's imminent return. Unfortunately, given the recent history of injuries plaguing the Yankees, the prospects of Judge making a swift comeback appear increasingly uncertain, leaving the team and its supporters grappling with a disheartening reality.

Aaron Judge's significance to the Yankees cannot be overstated. In the previous season, he shattered records and set the American League single-season home run record with an astounding 62 homers.

Accompanying this feat was an impressive .311 batting average, coupled with leading Major League Baseball in runs scored (133), home runs, runs batted in (131), on-base percentage (.425), and total bases (391).

With the severity of the injury, Judge should not be expected back in action anytime soon.
