AAP releases first list of 11 candidates for Delhi Assembly polls

Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released its first list of 11 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections due early next year.

Turncoats 

The list included the names of Ex-BJP leaders Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha and BB Tyagi.

Besides, former Congress leader Chaudhry Zubair Ahmad's name also featured in the party list.

Former Congress leaders Veer Dhingan and Sumesh Shokeen have also been given tickets to contest the upcoming elections.  

3 MLAs denied tickets

The party has retained three MLAs while three sitting MLAs were denied tickets.

2020 Assembly polls

In 2020 assembly polls, AAP won 62 of 70 seats. While BJP could win 8 seats, Congress drew a blank.
