The A52 Derby Road has been closed following a "serious crash" between Priory Island and Bramcote Island. The collision happened on the outbound road, with congestion currently affected in routes through Beeston, Wollaton and Trowell as traffic diverts.
East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) received a call at 3.16pm today (November 1) and an air ambulance was sent to the scene of the crash. Two fast response cars and a crewed ambulance were also dispatched. A patient was subsequently taken to Queen's Medical Centre via a crewed ambulance.
Nottinghamshire Police officer are also at the scene. Drivers travelling in the area have been urged to seek alternative routes, with long delays reported by traffic and travel update site, Inrix.
