Utah State pulled off one of the most convincing fake outs you’re likely to see on a college football field this year against Iowa on Saturday.
On the play in question, it looked like Utah State running back Robert Briggs Jr. got the handoff and was headed to the end zone as the Fox camera crew followed him as he ran.
However, it became clear some time into Briggs’ run that he didn’t actually have the ball and was just the decoy on the play for another player getting the ball.
It was so convincing that the Fox cameraperson followed Briggs on the fake out run instead of keeping the focus on where the ball was on the play.
Even faked the camera man out 😂😅@USUFootball pic.twitter.com/gpCJEgizT7

It’s hard to blame the cameraperson for Fox because this was a very convincing sell by Utah State!
However, they probably should’ve handed the ball to Briggs in actuality because it looks like he would’ve probably scored.
