A top Qatar ambassador just said homosexuality is 'damage in the mind' less than 2 weeks before a controversial World Cup

The World Cup this year is being held in Qatar for the first time ever. 

Qatar was criticized right from when it was awarded the tournament in 2010, when claims of bribery and corruption in the bidding process surfaced. The country’s track record of human rights was another cause for concern, given its poor treatment of migrant workers.
