At least three dead and hundreds rescued after catastrophic flooding pounded Texas

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has confirmed a third fatality from the catastrophic floods that have ravaged the state this month, prompting hundreds of rescues and leaving widespread damage.

The latest victim was swept away on Monday while attempting to drive through floodwaters, according to Abbott.
