A number of Manchester United supporters have reacted to highly-rated attacker Alejandro Garnacho scoring twice late on to secure the club their first FA Youth Cup title since 2011, beating Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
After seeing Rhys Bennett's 13th-minute header cancelled out by Forest's Joshua Powell just a few minutes before half-time, United restored their lead with just 12 minutes left on the clock through the popular Garnacho, who scored from the penalty spot. He sent Aaron Bott the wrong way in the Forest goal to all but seal the Under-18s their first Youth Cup crown in 11 years.
However, United were fortunate to earn the penalty that put one hand on the trophy. Zach Abbott clearly caught Garnacho after taking too heavy a touch, but the foul was made outside the penalty area and a free-kick should have been awarded.

The Forest defender, as well as his team-mates, was perplexed by the decision and replays clearly showed that the contact was made outside the penalty area. With VAR not in operation, the penalty was allowed to stand and Garnacho slotted the ball home to net his sixth goal of United's FA Youth Cup campaign.
And he netted his seventh of a memorable Youth Cup campaign in added time. After the fourth official had indicated a minimum of eight additional minutes, Garnacho doubled his tally with a silky finish to wrap up the win.
Considered as the Under-18s' star man and most-talked about individual, it was fitting that he netted the winner to cap off a memorable cup run for Travis Binnion's side. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what United's supporters had to say on social media after the Argentine's latest goals.
As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, United's supporters have hailed Garnacho's quality, calling for him to become a first-team player under Erik ten Hag next season. As well as that, they have also referenced his decision to replicate Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' celebration after netting his first of the night.
