A Star Wars cartoon that's been shelved for over a decade will finally see the light of day

Darth Vader being filmed in Star Wars: Detours.

At this rate, there are enough canned Star Wars projects to fill an entire star system. Thankfully, though, news from SDCC reveals one forgotten show will be coming back from the brink and has been described by its creator as "Simpsons in the Star Wars universe."

During the "Inside the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art" panel, it was announced that a formerly shelved show, Star Wars: Detours, will be viewable at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which will be opening in September (via Entertainment Weekly).
