Family members of the victims of a fatal plane crash watched in horror as the skydiving aircraft plunged to the ground, French authorities have revealed.

Eleven people died after the plane “dropped out of the sky suddenly” in northeastern France on Sunday, just about 300 metres from the Nancy-Essey airfield runway.
