A Shed Just For My Motorcycle? Shut Up and Take My Money!

Despite my fortune of having a two-car garage, as well as a small shed, my Stark Varg EX currently resides outdoors. As does my Can-Am Maverick X3, but it at least has a tarp over it. There, it's seen snow, rain, hail, and windstorms that are nothing to shake a stick at. And while it's survived, as you'd expect, I always feel bad that it isn't being somewhat protected from the elements.

It shouldn't have to just survive, though.

Granted, I'm lucky to have the amount of storage I do have. And with a little work, or a little downsizing, I could probably find a place to park the Stark and protect it from the elements. But not everyone has that capability. Not everyone has a garage or even a big enough garage. Not everyone has a shed. One company that's rising from the ashes, however, has the solution for folks like myself and those above with a motorcycle-specific, lockable shed.

And I have just the place for it.

Running a small business in 2026 is a hard task to manage, no matter how good your product is. Even when the economy is booming, it's an uphill climb. And when the economy is as chaotic as ours, well... But SAB (Secure A Bike) Motorcycle Storage has returned with new owners, and the British-based outfit is striving toward delivering its sheds to folks who need security for their motorcycles.

"We hope to expand, obviously, but we also understand that this isn’t a big money-making venture by any stretch of the imagination," stated the company's new director, Mike Owens, who spoke with our colleagues at Motorcycle News. It really should be, though, as it's a brilliant piece of kit.

The brand builds two versions of its motorcycle shed, a smaller "Racer" model designed for sportbikes, naked, and others of that ilk, and a "Heritage" model designed for cruisers and touring motorcycles. Both, however, are pretty reasonably priced, working out to be about $3,000 a pop for what will protect your bike, and has a working lock on it. Likewise, because it's designed specifically for a motorcycle, it won't take up as much space in your backyard or driveway as a regular shed would.

It also features an integrated trolley design so you can just chock your front wheel and move it forward without slamming your head on anything.

Honestly, if these were sold in the United States, they'd probably sell out like hotcakes. Folks all around the US have varying degrees of protection for their motorcycles, as loads of people live in apartments, or places where garages aren't a thing. A lockable shed, one designed to weather British summers (i.e., rain), and one that doesn't break the bank seems like a goldmine. I'd have one.
