It's a wonderful glimpse into Pixar's creative process, showing both how the character designs evolved and how much personality is packed into those early sketches – you can almost hear Tom Hanks and Tim Allen saying the lines by looking at the sketch.
It's remarkable how closely the storyboards mirror the final cut, from framing and angles to the action itself. The animators made a lot of decisions early on in the process that ended up being the way the animation was cut.
