A Place in the Sun star Danni Menzies couldn't work for up to four months because of trauma she experienced after being hit by a stolen moped last year.
The Scots presenter has opened up on the horror smash in October and revealed that her mental health "wasn't great" in the aftermath.
Danni, 33, took to Instagram to share a montage of videos from the past few months, as she admitted she was crying every day and at times she thought she was "losing it".
The former Channel 4 host said: "Just wanna say after my accident I couldn’t work for a 3/4 months, once my face healed my mental health wasn’t great. Traumas a weird thing. Processing. At one point I cried everyday for three weeks, and at times really thought I was loosing (sic) it, everything was coming out."
Danni was left with facial injuries after the moped driver "lost control" as they drove along the pavement near her home in London and smashed into her. Just after the accident, she told fans that her injuries were so severe that the Face ID system on her iPhone wasn't working.
Danni now says she feels ready to open up and wants to help others who may not be feeling okay and needed "to hear it".
She added: "I know things can seem really fabulous on here and I didn’t share my down days/ weeks with you at the time because no one wants to hire the girl crying every day on the gram. But I wanted to share incase you need to hear it. Everyone has highs and lows and you’re never alone.
"Let it out, wallow in it and eventually it will pass just keep going. It really helped me to concentrate on the things I could control. The time you spend, and how you speak to your loved ones. What you put in your body and what you do with it, exercise if you can always helps. Work on these three things, they feed your soul and just keep going.
"Don’t feel bad for leaning on the people that love you, tough times are just as important as the good.
I am so incredibly grateful to be having times like this and thanks for coming along with me on here for the ride! Big love."
Many fans took to the comments to commend Danni for her honesty.
One wrote: "Hope it all works out for you, you are definitely my favourite presenter."
Another added: "It’s never easy opening up about how one is feeling and going through tough times, so thank you Danni for sharing. I wish you all the best in your future adventures. You have such a beautiful soul."
While another commented: "Oh Danni. So sad to read this, but SO glad you are getting back on track. You go girl! I know you have it in you. You ARE a strong person, and I have every faith you will fully recover. After all, you are Scottish, and we are made from strong stuff.....even girders!! Gaun yersel lass! Thinking of you Danni."
Another penned: "My favourite presenter wish you were so much more on TV, you are sunshine here's to your beautiful recovery."
It wasn't until months after the accident that Danni shared the extent of her injuries, she was left with two black eyes and stitches on her face.
Posting snaps of her injuries, Danni wrote: "I don't want to trigger anyone but wow. I'm only looking back on what went on a few months ago. Mental. Couldn't even think about sharing pics at the time. So grateful for @skinfluencer.official for all their help."
The presenter visited a skin professional to try reduce the scarring and now it is hardly visible.
Earlier we reported she hit back at a troll this week who criticised her appearance on Instagram.
