A Place In The Sun buyer forced to take break after becoming too emotional at dream property

An A Place In The Sun buyer struggled to contain their emotions after viewing a stunning property. Budding buyers Mark and Prriya were on the hunt for their dream holiday home as Channel 4 property expert Lee Juggurnauth assisted them.

The couple were looking to purchase their second home in the Greek island of Crete, and they came prepared with a budget of £300,000, with an extra £30,000 wiggle-room.

The couple wanted to buy a large family home with at least three bedrooms, and a lot of living space so friends and family could enjoy the seafront property. Mark and Prriya toured he Greek island with Lee as they viewed the five properties he had picked for them - the only problem was they loved them all.

Mark couldn't believe his eyes as each property kept getting better and better, as he described the various houses as "spellbinding", "beautiful" and "stunning". As they arrived at their fifth house tour of the day, Mark was overcome with emotion, as Lee seemingly selected his dream house.

Speaking on the Channel 4 show, Mark admitted he was becoming "weak at the knees" He said: "Okay, I finally really am speechless. I think that is a view to die for. And look at that pool. This is the goosebumps moment for me. I'm going a bit weak at the knees, I am actually going a bit weak at the knees."

Mark was forced to step away for a break as he quickly became overwhelmed by his emotions, but regained composure soon after. When it was time to make their decision, the couple were certain of the property they wanted to bid on and put down a low offer of £270,000.

The owner initially rejected their first bid and proposed a counter of £298,000. The pair tried once more to lower the asking price by £10,000 - and their £288,000 was accepted, granting them their dream second home.

A Place in the Sun airs on Channel 4 every weekday from 3pm.
