I'm not even that far into my first ever playthrough of Grim Dawn and I can already see why I've heard people praise this game for the last 10 years. It's old, sure, but it's a surprisingly tight action RPG that despite its age hasn't been left to rust.
The developers at Crate Entertainment have kept Grim Dawn from feeling like an action RPG that came out a decade ago. The quality-of-life additions in its final expansion, Fangs of Asterkarn, do a lot of the heavy-lifting, but even visually the game doesn't look that far removed from an older World of Warcraft zone.
