A multicultural dialogue of fashion

Thailand Fashion Week is back - and Bangkok is making its case as one of fashion's most exciting emerging hubs in Asia.

Held at The Halls Bangkok from May 26–27, the Autumn/Winter 2026–27 showcase brought together designers from South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines and beyond, proving that creativity in the region is anything but one-dimensional.

This season, nature was at the heart of all the designs. Floral motifs, organic silhouettes and earth-inspired textures appeared throughout multiple collections, elevated through meticulous beading, embellishments and couture-level embroidery. Oriental influences also emerged as a recurring thread, with designers reimagining traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.

Opening the schedule was South Korea's FLÉRIN x VOTRECHIC. Titled Garden in the Sunlight, the collection paired sculptural garments with statement silver jewellery, creating a dreamy wardrobe that felt equal parts romantic and futuristic. Flowing silhouettes met metallic accents, capturing the feeling of stepping into a sun-drenched garden in full bloom.

One of the week's biggest standout moments came courtesy of Indonesian label Alethea Sposa by Evelyn Witono Putri. The collection was a masterclass in craftsmanship, featuring intricate beadwork, delicate embroidery and embellished gowns that shimmered under the runway lights.

Drawing inspiration from wedding couture, modern cheongsams and Sangjit engagement attire, the designer struck a balance between heritage and modernity. The result? Ethereal silhouettes that felt whimsical without losing their contemporary edge.

Meanwhile, Filipino label Don Cristobal returned to Thailand Fashion Week for its sixth consecutive season with Tropic Haze.

Staying true to the brand's signature aesthetic, the collection was an exploration of all-black dressing through dramatic layering, sharp tailoring and avant-garde proportions. The monochromatic palette only amplified the precision of each look, delivering a collection made for those who believe black is never boring.

But as always, some of the most memorable moments happened behind the scenes. Models rushed between fittings, makeup artists perfected last-minute details and designers made final adjustments moments before showtime. Amid the chaos was a sense of excitement that reminded everyone why fashion week remains one of the industry's most electric experiences.

With another season wrapped, all eyes are already on Thailand Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2027 edition, scheduled for November.
