A Mets fan dangerously snagged a home run one-handed off a bounce with a child in his other hand

This New York Mets fan showed no fear on this catch.

On Tuesday, Starling Marte smacked a deep home run to center field to put the Mets up 2-0 over the Washington Nationals in the first inning. While it was a great home run, the real story here is the catch this Mets fan made off Marte’s bomb out to center field.

We’ve seen some incredible fan catch fails and successes this season, but this one might be the best successful catch we’ve seen this year. Though off a hop off the middle part of the Mets center field, this father not only made this catch one-handed, he did so holding his child in the other!

A bit dangerous? Oh definitely! But thankfully, everyone is safe and sound and that fan has a fun story to tell for years to come.
