A massive Canadian ship is currently docked in Cardiff. HMCS Montréal, a Halifax-class frigate, is visiting the Port of Cardiff, an Associated British Ports port next to the Cardiff Bay Trail.
The ship has been in Cardiff since Monday, November 14 and will remain in the port until Friday, November 18. Previously, she has been deployed on anti-terrorism missions in Europe, and has been involved in Nato missions too.
She has been in service since the 1990s and this week was seen in the dock by some keen ship spotters. Other ships have been seen visiting Cardiff in recent months, including an Irish warship spotted in Cardiff Bay in July.
