With the 2022 season officially in the books, the 2023 season is underway and the work begins on ending what is now a 12-year postseason drought. The list of opponents on that road in 2023 is also completely set with the regular season standings wrapped up, at least with the Jets finishing in last place in the AFC East following their 11-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins to finish 7-10.
14 of the 17 games were already known thanks to the schedule rotation. As always, the Jets will have their six divisional games against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.
2023 matches up the AFC East against the AFC West. The Jets will be home against the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers and will visit the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders.
With the interconference rotation, the AFC East will be paired with the NFC East. The Jets will host the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders and be on the road against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. As a result, the Jets will effectively have ten home games thanks to be the road team against the Giants and 2023 being a year where AFC teams will have nine home games.
New York’s remaining AFC opponents will be home against the Houston Texans and on the road against the Cleveland Browns. Their “17th game” will be at home against the Atlanta Falcons.
