‘A lecture from a country ranked 58th?’: Kaja Kallas fires back at Marco Rubio on free speech

European Commission vice president Kaja Kellas gave a savage reply to US state secretary Marco Rubio over freedom of speech.

While speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Kallas said that there is less freedom of speech in the United States than in Estonia.

“I come from a country that ranks second in the freedom of speech index, and for me to hear lectures about free speech from a country that ranks 58th in that same index is… interesting,” Kallas said.

This comment came after Macro Rubio commented about freedom of speech in Europe.

Interestingly, the data that Kellas is referring is collected by Reposters without frontiers (RSF), founded by Robert Menard former member of the Revolutionary Communist League between 1973-1979. Several users on social media pointed to this data.
