TV news anchor unexpectedly named next king of a Ugandan monarchy

Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV Uganda Moammar Gadhafi Tooro

A television news anchor was unexpectedly named the next monarch of Uganda's Tooro Kingdom on Wednesday, following the death of its “boy king” who ascended to the throne as an infant.

Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, a news anchor and editor with state broadcaster Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, was announced as crown prince by a selection committee following a search.
