In a thrilling WNBA matchup on Sunday, the Las Vegas Aces narrowly escaped a late comeback by the Chicago Sky to secure a 77-75 victory. A'ja Wilson emerged as the hero for the Aces, sinking a game-winning layup as time expired.

Despite holding a comfortable 13-point lead in the fourth quarter, Las Vegas found themselves in a tense situation as Chicago mounted a late surge. Lindsay Allen's clutch 3-pointer and Chennedy Carter's two consecutive baskets tied the game with just a second remaining.

Wilson, a standout player for the Aces, showcased her prowess with 20 points and an impressive 18 rebounds, marking her 21st double-double of the season. Kelsey Plum contributed 18 points, while Megan Gustafson added 13 points, including three crucial 3-pointers. Chelsea Gray's all-around performance of 11 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists proved vital, with her final assist setting up Wilson's game-winning shot.

On the opposing side, Angel Reese delivered a remarkable performance for the Chicago Sky, grabbing a season-high 22 rebounds. Despite Reese's efforts, Chicago suffered their third consecutive loss, putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy as they now hold a slim half-game lead over the Atlanta Dream for the final playoff spot.

Carter led the scoring for the Sky with 25 points, supported by Allen's 16 points and five assists, as well as Michaela Onyenwere's 15 points. Reese contributed 11 points to secure her sixth consecutive double-double and her 22nd of the season.

The game saw back-and-forth action, with both teams trading leads throughout. Las Vegas managed to regain control in the final quarter, with Plum's 3-pointer extending their lead to 73-60 with just over four minutes remaining.

Looking ahead, the Las Vegas Aces will face the Dallas Wings on Tuesday, while the Chicago Sky are set to host the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.
