Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown took to Twitter on Saturday to share his reaction to the news of the reported trade between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns involving wideout Amari Cooper.
The trade that was agreed to between the Browns and Cowboys sees Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick going to Cleveland, with Dallas receiving a fifth- and sixth-round pick.
Brown believes the Browns should have given up more for a wide receiver he thinks is one of, if not the best route-runners in the NFL.
“One of the league’s best route runner,” Brown tweeted. “Maybe the best route runner in the league is worth a fifth and a sixth-round pick … smh.”

While we understand the sentiment, we can also see why that’s all it took for the Browns to land Cooper.
The 27-year-old is coming off somewhat of a down year after reeling in 68 passes for 865 yards and eight scores in 2021, and he missed a pair of games due to injury.
Further, Cooper comes with a hefty salary of $20 million per year for each of the next three seasons that the Cowboys needed to unload, and which the Browns will now absorb. However, Cleveland can get out of the contract with no dead money should they choose to do so down the road.
