Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown reacted to the news that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley had been suspended for the 2022 campaign for gambling on football, which violates league rules.
Ridley, who can apply for reinstatement on Feb. 15, 2023, placed bets for three different parlays between Nov. 23-28 from his phone, and those bets included ones on the Falcons to win.
The 27-year-old shared his thoughts on the matter but didn’t do himself any favors in a series of tweets about the situation, even going as far as to say, “I bet 1500 total I don’t have a gambling problem.”

In the wake of Ridley’s suspension being announced, Brown wondered aloud why Ridley would place bets under his own name in a now-deleted tweet.
“Could’ve used another name tho,” Brown tweeted.
Ridley appeared in five games during the 2021 season before stepping away for personal reasons. He was set to play out the final year of his rookie deal in 2022, but now that will be pushed back to 2023.
