A Houston outfielder outrageously flipped over the fence to steal a home run

University of Houston utility player Drew Bianco stole a home run while flipping over the back fence during a Sunday game.

While the Cougars faced down University of the Incarnate Word in the 2023 Kleberg Bank College Classic, Bianco made a diving catch over the fence at the top of the sixth inning and miraculously caught the ball for an out.

It was one of those hits that seemed destined for pay dirt, but Bianco’s heroic flop over the fence kept it from going in Incarnate Word’s favor.

A graduate student and the son of Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco, Drew Bianco put up what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the young college baseball season.

Like, holy cow. It’s a wonder he didn’t seriously injure himself on the diving catch.

The fact that Bianco made it over the fence like he did and came up triumphantly with the ball should be a good sign for Houston this season, even though the team came up short to Incarnate Word on Sunday, 10-8.
