A Haunting in Venice is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, and is described as a "terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot".
Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
Directed by Belfast-born Branagh, the movie also stars Holywood man Dornan, Belfast star Jude Hill, recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Ali Khan, Emma Laird , Kelly Reilly, and Riccardo Scamarcio.
Jamie Dornan shared the trailer on his Instagram account writing: "Cancel all Sept 15th Plans! Excited to share….#Ahauntinginvenice."
In the trailer, the séance is led by Oscar winner Yeoh as one of those present seeks to hear the voice again of her daughter who met a tragic end a year prior. Before this, it’s intoned, “Anyone who ever lived here falls victim to tragedy.” Dornan make a very fleeting appearance in the trailer.
