What do you do when you’re a pitcher and a batter gets called out on strikes due to a pitch clock violation?
You can’t just stand there and do nothing! You can’t pump your fist as if you’re the one who caused the strikeout!
This was the dilemma facing Cleveland Guardians pitcher Xzavion Curry on Monday. The A’s Seth Brown had just been called out on strikes because he didn’t get into the box and had his attention on the pitcher in time, so he was punched out on strike three.
What did Curry do? He kind of walked off, shrugged and laughed. Exactly! This should be the celebration every time.
