The glory days of Super Bowl championships feel far away for the Patriots, who fell to 2–10 on the season with a dreadful 6–0 loss to the Chargers in Week 13.
New England's offense is simply a disaster, averaging less than 10 points per game through the five-game losing streak the franchise is currently drowning within.
The problems of the Patriots offense mean there are a lot of questions for coach Bill Belichick to answer. New England benched Mac Jones in favor of Bailey Zappe this week—what went into that decision? What new things can the Patriots try to shake things up?
While there are plenty of questions, Belichick does not seem keen on providing any answers, as he showed during his postgame press conference on Sunday.
Belichick batted away question after question that was asked of him with dismissive non-answers.

Belichick has never been the biggest fan of the media requirements that come with the job of NFL coach. Aside from the random moment roughly once a year where he decides to wax poetic for eight minutes on the evolution of special teams from the 1950s to the current day, Belichick usually plays things pretty tight when it comes to answering questions.
Belichick's silent act was less of an issue when the Patriots were good, sometimes it felt like there was even some charm to it. But now with New England flailing on all fronts, the questions that Belichick wants to dodge aren't just going away.
