Federal safety regulators have told households to stop using a novelty firework product sold as a toy, saying it can produce high temperatures that travel far enough from the device to set clothing on fire.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the warning Thursday for Monkey Mania Nuclear Bubble Beretta firework toys, model MM0799, manufactured by Raccoon Fireworks of China. The agency described a risk of serious injury or death from a burn hazard, and told consumers to dispose of the products rather than sell or give them away.
