It wasn’t exactly a historic loss for the New York Jets, but a couple of statistics paint a rough picture for Gang Green.
The Jets fell 32-19 to the San Francisco 49ers in their season opener on “Monday Night Football.” The long awaited full debut for quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not go according to plan.
Neither did the effort from the highly-touted Jets defense.
All in all, according to a few stats from ESPN, the all-around effort was amongst Rodgers and the Jets’ worst outcomes in a long while. Career length, even.
Defensively, it was the scoring streak for the Niners. For Rodgers and New York’s offense, it was about moving the moving the ball.
