A Fasting Program Spread Sold Online Is Recalled After Undeclared Cashew, Pistachio, and Hazelnut Turned Up

A jar of almond and cocoa spread sold as part of a fasting nutrition program has been recalled because it contains undeclared cashew, pistachio, and hazelnut, and the company has documented one confirmed allergic reaction linked to the product.

L-Nutra of Culver City, California, is recalling Prolon brand Apulian Almond and Cocoa Spread, packaged in 8.47-ounce glass jars with UPC 850040360530. The affected lot is L2755, with an expiration date of January 2, 2027. The lot code appears on the jar cap. The product was sold through the company's e-commerce site, ProlonLife.com, either purchased directly or included in certain Prolon bundles, according to the FDA recall notice.
