Last week the news broke that City Football Group - the parent company of Manchester City - is set to add an 11th team to its ever-expanding worldwide portoflio of clubs.
NAC Breda of the Dutch second division announced that the club's shareholders had agreed to sell their shares to CFG, joining the likes of Troyes, Lommel, Girona and New York City FC as a member of the conglomerate.
However, on Sunday supporters belonging to the Breda Loco group protested against the move by hanging a banner outside the Etihad Stadium that read: "Stay out of our territory, NAC is not a City Group story." Supporters also travelled to the stadiums of Troyes and Lommel to protest against the club becoming an affiliate of City.

The Manchester Evening News has contacted City for a comment on the sale and are awaiting a response. Here's how both NAC Breda and City fans have reacted online.
@MikaGraumans: we don’t want to be a little club of 11. We are not a trademark for City…
@mvgmarty: This really isn't possible. The soul of the club, we the supporters, are treated with zero respect here. You can wipe everything we stand for in one fell swoop. You will now become one of the 20 clubs. Never again your own club, our club.
@steefl: The shareholders have helped the club into the ground and are now choosing for their own interests. A disgrace. A trading house for City. None of them are doing well in the league and that is not the aim.
@xlucassoh_: This is the club from my city, and I feel sad for the fans. But, CFG only have good intentions with the club, they want to bring the club back to the Eredivisie, buying good players and stuff, NAC Breda fans are just upset with everything.
@raulmancunian: We are here to save their club, but they don't want this to happen.
