A Detroit Health System and Michigan State Just Backed Two Medical Technology Startups, and Neither Product Is Cleared for Sale

A venture fund backed by one of Detroit's largest health systems and Michigan's second-largest university has named the first two companies it is investing in, and in both cases the product is still being validated rather than used in routine patient care.

Henry Ford Health and Michigan State University Health Sciences announced on July 30 that the Henry Ford and MSU Innovation Fund has invested in LightHearted AI and M3D. The announcement did not disclose the size of either investment.
