A woman from Denmark is desperately trying to trace an Irish man she met while he was on a stag party in Scotland - but they lost contact after she wrote down her phone number incorrectly.
Nina Jensen's Christmas wish is to again rekindle the romance but has scant details of his address in Ireland, only that he lives 30 minutes from Dublin.
The 50 year old who was also on holiday in Scotland but is now home, says she thought long and hard before embarking on a public search for him in case it caused him embarrassment.
However, she felt it was the only way she had of any chance of finding him again.
"I'm looking for an Irish man who was on a stag party in Edinburgh from 25-27th November last," she said.
"I met him in a bar called Mulligan's and there was that instant magical connection from the moment our eyes met. That connection was something I haven't felt for a long time and I have no doubt that it is mutual.
"It must be an age thing, she laughed, but I forgot my reading glasses so he gave his to me to look at pictures on his phone of his daughters and his family.
"We had a fantastic night in the pub but I had to leave suddenly because my friend was sick."
The Irishman called for a taxi and Nina promised to call him that night.
She said: "I was calling out my number but he was not understanding some digits due to my accent so I took his number to key in the remaining digits, without my glasses on.
"He then rang the number so I'd have his details. I watched his phone ring the number so I didn't bother checking my phone in my bag.
"It was only when I pulled my phone out back at the hotel to ring him that there was no missed call. He must have rang a wrong number. I have no doubt that he did want to meet again and that's why I'm putting this search out there.
"I hope it won't cause him any embarrassment as people like to keep their love life private. I thought long and hard about this but it really is the only chance I have of finding him again and seeing if he does want to meet up.
"I would love to find him again.
"It really would be the best Christmas present to chat to him again".
