A rare crystal and diamond Fabergé egg, created for Russia’s ruling family before its revolutionary overthrow, is set for auction, with an estimated value exceeding £20 million ($26.4 million).
Christie’s auction house confirms the Winter Egg is just one of seven such opulent ovoids still in private hands. It will be offered for sale at Christie’s London headquarters on Tuesday.
