The Married At First Sight (MAFS) grooms are catching strays over a noteworthy trend that (thankfully) has nothing to do with the drama on the show.
The trend was picked up by popular social media fashion page Fashion Critical, which shared a bunch of pics of the outfits worn by the MAFS men throughout this season.
“If there’s one word that encapsulates the men on this season of MAFS, it’s jeggings,” the page wrote, alongside scenes of castmates Filip Gregov, Danny Hewitt, Scott McCristal and David Momoh all wearing variations of the pant style.

Filip, who fans said is the biggest fashion faux-pas offender, sported the skin-tight pants look (with no socks) at least three times during his MAFS stint, including when he proposed to Stella Mickunaite, while Danny and Scott opted for all-white and navy options.
If you recall, that particular type of men’s pants was everywhere in the 2010s, which is why hundreds of fans asked that the pants be officially retired after this season of MAFS.
“Was skin tight pants a tick box on the application form?” one Facebook user wrote, while others complained that the pants were “two sizes too small” or questioned “who genuinely thinks this a good look?”.
“I have the sudden need to disinfect both eyes,” another fan quipped, with a fifth person saying the MAFS stylists “must have a bulk purchase discount from somewhere”.

Of course, everyone is free to wear whatever they’re comfortable in, but that’s kinda the point: the pants look extremely uncomfortable.
I’d be so worried the pants would split, because if I know MAFS, producers will showcase that moment on a loop in perpetuity until it someday plays at my funeral. And who wants to be remembered as a guy who wore skinny jeans?
As far as MAFS backlash goes, the fashion crimes are pretty trivial given that this season has featured bullying accusation Dinner Parties, multiple claims of a villain edit, and at least one downright problematic groom.

All of it has been gearing up for what’s bound to be an explosive Reunion, which will take place over two episodes beginning on Sunday (April 12).
We don’t yet know exactly what will go down as the participants farewell the experiment, but something tells me at least one MAFS groom will limp through that sliding door because his legs are about to burst out his pant seams.
