It was picked it out of the bargain bin in Tesco more than 32 years ago and bought for just 99p, now the savvy purchase has sold at auction for £2,000.
The rare Star Wars toy is a Yak-Face figure from the cult movie phenomenon. The figure, which is a character from Return of the Jedi, was bought at a Tesco store during the 1980s after it was marked down from £1.59.
It's owner kept the figure sealed in its original packaging and was snapped up by another collector who then spent 20 years hunting down more toys from the multi-billion dollar franchise. The unnamed buyer's hoard of 37 figures went under the hammer at Hansons Auctioneers, in Etwall, Derbyshire, on Wednesday, April 20.
