90s hitmaker Shanice wows with her ageless beauty three decades after smash

It's been more than three decades since Shanice rose to fame.

The singer-songwriter, now 49 - whose name is Shanice Wilson-Knox - is best known for her chart-topping song I Love Your Smile, which was first released back in 1991.

She has continued to perform and release music in the years since the height of her fame, including having released her latest single, titled Take Care of U, just last year.

Shanice - who was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1993 - keeps fans updated on her life and career through social media, including her regularly posting on Instagram.

She recently shared a photo of herself on the platform in which she unsurprisingly looked a little different from how she did at the height of her fame some decades ago – showing off her ageless beauty.

The performer - who sported a short bob earlier in her career - is seen with lengthier hair, which included a fringe, in the photo which she uploaded just last month.

Shanice modelled a purple T-shirt in the photo, which she accompanied with a pair of denim shorts. The performer opted to wear some red lipstick for the photo.

Shanice rose to prominence in the 1990s, after releasing her debut single (Baby Tell Me) Can You Dance in 1987. She's best known for her song I Love Your Smile, released in 1991.

I Love Your Smile peaked in the second spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 but topped the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It charted in numerous other countries too.

Although the original version only reached Number 55 on the UK Singles Chart, a remix by Driza Bone proved more successful as it reached Number 2 on the same chart.

She later released singles Saving Forever for You and When I Close My Eyes. And her duet If I Never Knew You, with Jon Secada, now 61, was on the Pocahontas soundtrack.

Shanice has ventured into acting over the years and played Eponine in Les Misérables on Broadway. And more recently, she turned to cosmetics, launching a vegan lipstick line.

She's been married to actor and comedian Flex Alexander, now 52, since 2000. The couple have two children together, with them parents to Imani, 21, and Elijah, 19.

The family appeared in the reality TV show Flex & Shanice, which debuted in 2014. It aired for three seasons, with the final instalment having been broadcast back in 2016.
