The summer window has certainly been a busy one from a Chelsea perspective with the Blues having been one of the biggest spenders across Europe.
Following Todd Boehly’s takeover at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have elected to spend a huge amount this summer as the likes of Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibably and more have arrived in west London.
The spending shows no sign of abating on the final day of the window either, with Thomas Tuchel still keen on adding even more new faces to his squad, whilst a few of the current incumbent could be set for exits sooner rather than later.
With that being said, Mirror Sport takes a look at some of the deals that could be rubber-stamped over the closing hours of the 2022 summer transfer window:
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona
A name that has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past few weeks has been former Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Tuchel struck up an excellent understanding with the Gabonese forward during their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
With the Blues keen to add to their attacking options following the exits of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, Aubameyang was seen as an excellent option. Reports have suggested that Chelsea are set to launch a bid for his services so it just remains to be seen whether they can agree a fee with Barcelona.

Anthony Gordon from Everton
On the topic of big-money signings from Premier League rivals, Chelsea have also been chasing the services of Everton starlet Anthony Gordon. It has been suggested that the Blues would be willing to pay up to £60m for his services this summer with the Toffees understandably keen not to sell.
As it stands, the two clubs have not come to an agreement over a deal for the 21-year-old so this one looks slightly difficult to complete on deadline day.
Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace
One of the surprise names linked with a late switch to Stamford Bridge this summer has been Crystal Palace star Zaha. The Independent have reported that the Blues are eyeing the winger ahead of an eleventh hour swoop.
The 29-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park so deadline day is likely to represent Palace’s final opportunity to scoop a considerable fee for his services. Zaha has enjoyed a bright start to the new season with three goals in as many games.
Marcos Alonso to Barcelona
Whilst there could be four big-money arrivals at Stamford Bridge before the window closes, there could well be a few exits too. Spanish defender Marcos Alonso has been strongly linked with a switch to Barcelona throughout the summer but the Calatans’ financial difficulties has seen a deal stutter.
He has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge with Cucurella and Ben Chilwell now ahead of him so a switch to the Camp Nou - or elsewhere - could be on the agenda over the final few hours of the transfer window.
Ethan Ampadu to Spezia
Following a successful loan spell with Italian side Venezia last term, Chelsea youngster Ampadu could be set for a return to Serie A.
Reports have suggested that the Welshman has already agreed a loan deal with Spezia. It remains to be seen whether the deal will be permanent or a loan but either way, Ampadu appears likely to be playing his football in Italy this season.
Billy Gilmour to Brighton & Hove Albion
Following an underwhelming spell with relegated Norwich City last season, Gilmour appears unlikely to figure in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the current campaign. Fortunately, the 21-year-old has admirers should he choose to leave.
Graham Potter’s Brighton have been credited with an interest and the Seagulls could potentially be set to pursue a deal over the closing hours of the window.
Hakim Ziyech to Ajax
Having only made one substitute appearance so far this season, Hakim Ziyech was initially expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Former club Ajax were linked with a move for the Moroccan as a replacement for Manchester United bound Antony but as it stands, they are prioritising a swoop for Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos.
Premier League rivals Tottenham are reportedly considering a swoop for Ziyech so it remains to be seen if the winger can seal a move away from Stamford Bridge on deadline day.
