When you’re looking to update your living room, but don’t want to spend a lot of money renovating or making huge furniture purchases, look to a simple upgrade that also happens to be one of the most multifunctional pieces out there – a pouf.
‘Unlike an ottoman, a pouf is much more versatile to add to your space,’ says interior designer Ashley Macuga, who is also the principal designer of Collected Interiors. ‘Poufs tend to be a smaller, less structured furniture form, so we use them in more casual settings, with design styles that require a less tailored look. In terms of how to style them, I’d say they are great for seating around a fireplace or tucked and styled underneath a console in the event you need extra seating while entertaining.’
