Finally, Disney+ has another series based on an astonishing true-crime fraud case - The Dropout - while also releasing the eagerly-awaited, star-studded new Marvel show Moon Knight. For the lowdown on the best TV series coming to streaming services in March, read on…
Pieces of Her (Netflix)
This thriller stars acclaimed actress Toni Collette as a mother with secrets in her past. The series, based on Karin Slaughter's 2018 novel of the same name, follows Andy - played by Bella Heathcote - who finds herself caught up in a mass shooting at a local diner.
But Andy is saved when her mum Laura (Toni Collette) tackles the shooter - violently and with ease. Andy begins to question who her mother really is - leading her on a dangerous journey across America that draws her further into dark family secrets.
The series consists of eight episodes of around one hour and will premiere on Netflix on Friday 4 March.
Top Boy Season 2 (Netflix)
The hard-hitting crime drama is back - following the exploits of drug dealers Dushane (Ashley ‘Asher D’ Walters) and Sully (Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson) as they navigate the criminal underworld while plying their trade on the fictional Summerhouse estate, in Hackney, east London.
Battles with rival gangs and the prospect of an undercover police operation look set to make this latest series as explosive as those that have gone before. It drops on Netflix on Friday 18 March.
Bridgerton Season 2 (Netflix)
*Contains season 1 spoilers*
The eagerly-awaited new series of Netflix’s popular period romance is coming soon. This time out it focuses on eldest Bridgerton brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his quest to find a bride. Meanwhile, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), aka gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, also returns - looking to further shake up Regency-era London with her all-knowing scandal sheet.
Fans can expect more romance, sex and scandal when season 2 lands on Friday 25 March.
Star Trek: Picard Series 2 (Amazon Prime Video)
The second season of Picard picks up where the first left off, with the retired Enterprise captain, played by Sir Patrick Stewart, enjoying a new lease of life, no longer the recluse he’d become following the Romulan refugee crisis. In the new series, Picard and the crew of La Sirena are plunged into an alternate mirror universe timeline - so are forced to take a quantum leap to the distant past - 2024 - in a bid to right what once went wrong.
In the UK, the ten-episode season is available only on Prime Video. New episodes will be available weekly, with the series beginning on Friday 4 March.

The Boys Presents: Diabolical (Amazon Prime Video)
This ‘delightfully unhinged’ animated series is a spin-off from Prime Video’s Emmy-nominated hit The Boys - a black comedy about an anti-superhero unit. It will consist of eight, fun-size episodes running 12 to 14 minutes - each with its own animation style - and revealing unseen stories from The Boys universe.
The series has been billed as ‘eight stories that give heroes a bad name’ - featuring graphic violence and extremely strong language. A spokesman for Amazon studios said the series has been ‘brought to life by some of the most creative and bloody brilliant minds in entertainment today’ - including Seth Rogen Awkwafina and Michael Cera.
All episodes of The Boys Presents: Diabolical will be on Prime Video on Friday 4 March.

Upload season 2 (Amazon Prime Video)
It’s the future and humans are able to upload their consciousness to a luxurious, virtual afterlife of their choosing. When computer programmer Nathan dies prematurely, he is uploaded to the very expensive Lakeview resort. As he adjusts to the pros and cons of virtual heaven, he meets Nora - his living customer service ‘angel’ - who helps him find friendship, love and purpose.
The official synopsis for season 2 reads: “Nathan is at a crossroads in his (after) life… his ex-girlfriend Ingrid has unexpectedly arrived to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel, Nora. Meanwhile Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group 'The Ludds'.”
All seven episodes of Upload season 2 will drop on Prime Video on Friday 11 March.
The Dropout (Disney+)
This drama is about Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfield) - the disgraced founder of blood test firm Theranos. She was the world’s youngest self-made billionaire who lost it all in the blink of an eye.
Holmes was the driving force behind Theranos, which had, according to her, created a blood test that was set to revolutionise the diagnosis of diseases. But the company struggled to keep up with her claims - and she was eventually convicted of fraud.
The Dropout is available on Disney+ and Hulu. The first three episodes drop today (Thursday 3 March) - with the remaining four episodes rolled out weekly thereafter.
Moon Knight (Disney+)
Oscar Isaac stars as a complex vigilante in this new series from Marvel Studios. It follows Steven Grant (Isaac), a mild-mannered gift-shop employee who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life.
Steven has dissociative identity disorder - a mental health condition where the person has multiple, distinct personalities that controls their behaviour at different times - and he discovers he shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight is scheduled to debut on Disney+ on Wednesday 30 March and will consist of six episodes.
