The late 1960s Silver Age was a golden era for comic storytelling. It was a time when Marvel and DC were redefining heroism, expanding their respective universes, and introducing characters who would become future cultural icons. Comics from the late Silver Age still faced censorship restrictions from the Comics Code Authority, but these creative restrictions would be relaxed soon with the dawn of the Bronze Age of comics.
