Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh are in lockstep that building a winning football team starts in the trenches.
Douglas addressed the offensive line by signing Laken Tomlinson in free agency. The 2022 NFL draft is the time for Gang Green’s general manager to turn his attention to the defensive line. Other than Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson, who is all but a lock to go in the top three at this point, the Jets will get a crack at landing a potentially elite pass rusher early in the draft with two top 10 picks in their possession.
The first day of this year’s draft isn’t the only time Douglas could target an edge rusher, though. It’s another deep pass rusher class and New York could take a hard look at the position at any point during the draft.
Here are eight edges the Jets could target later this month.
