Chelsea’s summer transfer window is starting to heat up, with pre-season matches just around the corner. The Blues are yet to make a signing, but they appear close to landing some marquee moves in the market.
football.london understands a transfer fee and personal terms have been agreed with Raheem Sterling to make the move from Manchester City. His teammate Nathan Ake could make a surprise return to Stamford Bridge too, with the Netherlands international in advanced talks over a transfer.
Thomas Tuchel seems unlikely to stop in making additions there though. The German coach is said to be “desperate” for more signings, having lost a number of key players in the past few months.

It comes after Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen both left the club as free agents at the end of their contracts. On the challenge ahead in their absence, Tuchel said: We are affected by it, players are going out.
“We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge.“
As many as four other defensive options beyond Ake are said to have been shortlisted, including Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt. football.london understands that Chelsea have held talks with the Bianconeri over a move for the 22-year-old, but a bid is yet to be submitted.
The Blues aren’t alone in their interest though, as both Manchester United and Bayern Munich are claimed to be monitoring a deal and it seems as though one of them has made their move. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bayern have made a bid of up to €90million (£76million).
It means that the Blues may have to step up their interest in the Netherlands international if they wish to win the battle.
