Nearly three months after being named the 2022–23 NBA MVP, Joel Embiid reached another major milestone on Saturday as the 76ers star married longtime girlfriend Anne de Paula.
Embiid, 29, and de Paula, 28, tied the knot in Southampton, New York following a church ceremony on Saturday afternoon, according to The New York Post. The power couple have been together since 2018, and share a son, two-year-old Arthur Elijah.
Video of the newlyweds greeting guests on their walk down the aisle made the rounds online as celebs and fans alike congratulated the six-time NBA All-Star and model on their nuptials.

As one of the beloved athletes in the City of Brotherly Love, Embiid’s special day serves as another glowing chapter to a year where he enjoyed his best season in Philadelphia.
Here’s to hoping Saturday’s heartwarming scene in the Hamptons will, at least, grant Embiid and his new bride a short break from being bombarded by the constant speculation regarding his NBA future that’s followed him this offseason.
